"Poetic homage to an extraordinary puppeteer, Igor Fokin,
who passed away at a much too early age. The camera follows
him as he sets up his stage in Harvard Square and delights people
of all ages. Interviews with him in his atelier offer glimpses
of a very special artist who reflects well on the art of puppetry.
He could truly bring the inanimate to life."
"More than a recording of a live performance, the film
makers give us the emotional sense of being present at Fokin's
performance. Thus, we are as charmed as Fokin's audiences obviously
are at the deceptively simplistic puppets and manipulation,
which manage to evoke a range of emotions -- in the puppets
and in us -- by the simplest of motions."
