Recession Squeezes Puppeteers Redux

"There are many forces at work on puppetry economics, political oppression, religious prohibition, changing tastes, changing technology.

The economic recession has settled in worldwide. Here in the USA puppeteers are starting to feel the effects- fewer bookings, smaller fees. And it's going to get worse. How do puppeteers in other countries cope? I hope you'll take a moment to share your thoughts in this blog on this important topic.

The working puppeteers I know are asking themselves, "How do I not only survive as an artist in these troubled economic times, but also, how do I thrive?"

If you have some ideas or an experience to share, please feel free. We could use all the help we can get.
