• The Membership Directory is your link to hundreds of people with a love of puppetry! Customize your profile to include images of your work and more! Interested in finding puppeteers near you? Search the database and introduce yourself with a message directly through the website!

• Our biannual magazine, Puppetry International, offers great photographs and articles on events from all around the world! In addition to receiving the latest magazine, members have access to all 30 years and 57 issues of the magazine online through the membership portal at anytime.

• The Puppetry Yellow Pages allows Company level members to showcase their work directly on the UNIMA-USA website. Visitors to the UNIMA-USA site can find the perfect company to fit their needs by customizing their search by location and categories such as puppetry centers, resident puppetry theaters, puppetry museums, touring companies, and more. With over 17,000 unique visitors to the website annually, the Puppetry Yellow Pages creates a great opportunity for increased visibility and greater marketability for member companies.

• Members receive Quarterly Newsletters that features important news for the field, as well as updates from members about their work.

• Members are also encourage to submit news for UNIMA-USA’s Social Media platforms. Posts quickly connect 7,600 Facebook and Instagram followers with current puppetry news. Company members are also featured in our weekly “Member Monday” features on social media and the website.

• The opportunity to apply for the UNIMA-USA Scholarship to study abroad!

o   Puppetry International Research, an online journal, presents the latest in innovative thought from the realm of academic puppetry study.

o   Puppet Zoomie learning and sharing sessions provide free access to experts who present aspects of puppetry technique, funding, design and travel and then field questions from attending Zoom audience members.

o   The “Citations of Excellence” program is the only national honors award for puppetry in theatre, film, and video.

o   The Nancy Staub Award, established in 2023, encourages excellence in Puppetry research, with the intention of supporting scholars and the increased visibility of Puppetry within the academic and wider community.
