Opportunity to Host U.S. Scholars under the Fulbright Specialist Program

The call for applications for the 2026-27 Fulbright Specialist Program is now open. The Program offers Indian institutions an opportunity to host accomplished U.S. scholars and professionals for short-term, project-based collaborations.

The Fulbright Specialist Program is designed to strengthen institutional capacity, support curriculum and faculty development, and foster sustainable partnerships between Indian and U.S. institutions. Specialists typically engage in activities such as delivering workshops, advising on program development, co-developing curricula, and contributing to institutional planning and evaluation.

Fulbright Specialist grants are cost-shared: Fulbright provides international travel and an honorarium to the Specialist, while host institutions cover local hospitality, including accommodation, meals, and local transportation.

Deadline for submission of applications is May 31, 2026
