8th International Training – Therapeutic Animated Form

Shame, Memory and Trauma

The 8th International Training in Therapeutic Animated Form is an intensive in-person program that explores the relationship between body, memory, trauma, and animated objects as tools for expression and symbolic processing.

Inspired by polyvagal theory (Porges), enactive cognition (Varela), the somatic marker hypothesis (Damasio), and relational object theories (Winnicott, Bollas, Malafouris), this training develops an experiential approach where body, perception, and materiality are in continuous dialogue.

Over four intensive days, participants will explore shame as a bodily, silent, and inhibiting experience, alongside memory, trauma, the post-witness condition, and insight-in-action.

Through somatic and creative practices with animated forms, the course activates the expressive and regulatory potential of objects as pathways for resilience and transformation, guided by the NeuroPuppetry Method™.

International Course in Puppet Therapy

NeuroPuppetry Method™

The International Course in Puppet Therapy is a pioneering online program grounded in the NeuroPuppetry Method™, developed by Andrea Markovits in collaboration with Polo Fernández.

The NeuroPuppetry Method™ is a neuro-informed therapeutic approach that uses the animation of puppets and objects to activate somatic memory and mind-body integration through action itself. This method supports emotional and bodily regulation, facilitating safe engagement with traumatic and affective experiences within a creative and therapeutic framework.

This independent academic training, created in 2017, focuses on the therapeutic dimensions of Animated Forms and has trained more than 500 students worldwide.
